Then I discovered this upgraded model. This new blender & chopper combination not only performs all tasks you may expect from a blender, it outperforms all other models I have ever used.Powerful 400 Watt allow you to chop even hard ingredients like nuts, coffee beans, and carrots easily. It comes even better: a variable speed regulator at the top of the unit enables you to customize the power for 5 different speeds. After all chopping parmesan and whisking eggs for your omelette is not the same! And for really really tough nuts turn on the turbo speed. The metal blender shaft does not seem to melt down now when I use it in my hot steaming soup-to-be. It also does not stick to the bottom of the saucepan anymore because this genius shaft has spaces at the bottom for the liquid to escape (compared to my former blenders). When I went searching for a replacement, I was lucky enough to find and choose this one.Now I'm using it every single day because the interchangable design makes it so easy to clean. The motor stays dry and plugged into the wall while the business end detaches and goes to the sink for a quick and easy rinse. No fumbling with the cord. No gymnastics at the sink with a stick that's too long to get under the faucet. No worrying about getting the wrong parts wet. No tomato stains on white plastic - this wand is stainless steel. Ten seconds and it's done and ready to go again.
